1st National Bank of South Florida recently
donated $3000 to the South Florida National
Parks Trust for the Community Artist Program
at Biscayne National Park. Exhibits are
open now at the Dante Fascell Visitor Center,
located at 9700 SW 328th Street in Homestead
and will feature various artists and photographers.
The exhibits will continue through July
2005.
The first exhibition and show opened November
19th. . Living Waters celebrates the aquatic
preserves of Florida and features a PBS
documentary and black and white photographs
by renowned South Florida landscape photographer
Clyde Butcher.
Butcher and cinematographer Elam Stoltzfus
will be in attendance for an artist’s reception
on December 10th. The exhibition and reception
are open to the public at no charge.
The Community Artist program has been made
possible by the generous support of

County Department of Cultural Affairs, the
Cultural Affairs Council, the Mayor and
the Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners,
and the Miami Beach Cultural Arts Council.
