South Florida Military Family Organization Receives Gift

The 1st National Bank of South Florida recently made a generous donation to the South Florida Military Family Organization, a private, non profit group made up of military families and community sponsors who provide social and informational events supporting all branches of military families in the South Dade area.

With this donation, the SFMFO will be able to provide even more assistance to military families. The organization offers services such as a Welcome Wagon for military families who are new in the area, monthly social events, and emergency financial assistance to families of military personnel deployed away from home. "We are proud to support the South Florida Military Family Organization in any way we can." said David Peyton, President and CEO of 1st National Bank. "This organization provides the necessary assistance military families need as they transition into our community."

The next event planned by the SFMFO will be Sunday June 8th from 1 to 4 pm at the Keys Gate Golf Club in Homestead. The event for military families will celebrate National Military Appreciation Month and at the same time provide information about the wide variety of community services and military support available to them. Other organizations and businesses are invited to participate by showcasing their products and services, donating door prizes, or providing military discount cards. For more information about participating in this event or more about the South Florida Military Family Organization, please call 305-248-3906 or visit http://www.sfmfo.org.
