Elaine Berryman appointed to new position

Elaine Berryman
1st National Bank of South Florida announced the appointment of Elaine Berryman to the position of Vice President/BSA Officer at the Krome Avenue office. Berryman joined 1st National Bank as a part-time teller eight years ago in 2000 and became a full-time teller in 2001. She subsequently transferred to the bank’s accounting department where she worked for four years. She was promoted to supervisor of the loan administration function in early 2005 and became the bank’s Bank Secrecy Act Coordinator later that same year. In 2006, she was promoted to Assistant Vice President where she was responsible for implementation of the bank’s anti-money laundering program and compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and the USA Patriot Act.

Berryman graduated from Southridge Senior High School and Miami Dade College, where she specialized in finance and accounting. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Florida International University in 2005. She has a Masters degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in Accounting, from St. Leo University. In addition, Berryman is required to complete regular continuing education classes specific to bank compliance with federal regulations. She is also a member of the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists.
