1st National Bank of South Florida was proud to present a check for $510.00 to the Homestead Soup Kitchen. The bank sold plush stuffed animals of their new mascot "Red" donating all the monies to the soup kitchen. On top of this donation, WIlliam (Bill) Losner, Chairman of the Board, made a personal donation of $100.00. 1st National Bank has supported the soup kitchen over the years by not only securing the property of their curent location but by also donating a computer, a refrigerator, and by making monetary contributions.
The Homestead Soup Kitchen is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 12 noon until 1:30 pm and is located at 105 S.W. 3rd Road. The Kitchen is always in need of volunteers to help serve food for just an hour and a half a day. Service clubs and other organizations are encouraged to call Ms. Smith at 305-245-7448.
