What do you need to get started?

	A personal computer - either an IBM compatible or an Apple Macintosh.
	A connection to the internet.
	A secure internet browser. As a minimum, you'll need a capability like that in Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 (or later) with 128 bit encyrption.

Concerned about the security of your account?

1st National Bank takes many precautions to protect your money and your personal information and updates security constantly.

First, all information traveling between you and the bank is encrypted using a technique called Secure Socket layers (SSL).

Second, dedicated "firewall" equipment carefully monitors transmissions into and out of the bank's web server. That tracks the source and destination of all 1st Online messages and guards against unauthorized access.

And last, getting to 1st Online and to your accounts requires dedicated access codes that you will select. You can protect those codes by making sure you do not share them with anyone.
